Jim is from an orchestral background, an experienced Clarinet/Sax Player & EWI {electronic wind instrument, see description below} providing beautiful music for many events across the UK, ideal for weddings (ceremonies and receptions), dinners, parties and corporate events.
Eating, drinking and conversing can be enjoyed to the setting of beautiful, non-intrusive Clarinet/Sax /EWI solos. Subtle amplification and the use of tasteful backing tracks are used to fill out any size of room, without stifling conversation. Standards from the American song book. Latin including, Jobin & Herb Alberts hits, and many Classic Love Songs.
For outside events when power is not available or when different locations are required as for some weddings, i use a portable amp { Roland KC110 } which enables a quick set-up time

For a more formal setting when Classical is required, i play pieces from the clarinet repertory. ie: Mozarts quintet, Poulencs sonata, Operatic arias, Rachmaninov excerpts.

The EWI is an electronic wind instrument, and is played in a similar way to a Sax or Clarinet and can produce realistic solo sounds. For example when i need a deeper sax sound, a sultry Miles Davis Trumpet sound, or a bamboo flute sound. and then match the sounds to suit each arrangement. eg: Moon River/harmonica. All of me/Tenor Sax. The EWI can be seen and heard using a guitar patch, in the video links with the song : Have i told you lately that i love you.
